A Spring Hike

Spring is in full swing here in Ohio and we are loving it!  Recently we took a trip down to Clear Creek Metro Park and enjoyed a great day of cool nature sightings.

Red Admiral...


Amazing Flowering Dogwood (Cornus florida)...

Spicebush Swallowtail nectaring on Gill-Over-the-Ground (Glechoma hederacea)...

  1. I love to see all your moths and caterpillars. We just don't find those here. I have been out gardening and birding and running around in circles trying to do it all. Such a fun time of year. I hope your veggies are doing well!

  2. I'm so jealous, you have morels! I wish we had some here, I'd love to forage those. Did forage some lilacs for jam (over on my blog if you wanna check it out). Getting my onions in this weekend, a bit behind on that one, but otherwise, the garden is moving along. How is your's doing? Photos please? Peace to you both! ~Vonnie
