Steve and Jennifer's Year-in-Review, 2009

Steve and Jennifer's Year-in-Review, 2009

Wow, 2009 was quite a year. Crazy in some ways but certainly not short on challenges, achievements and fun.

We traveled across the country (like a lot of other people) in search of work and both ended up working at and enjoying world famous Carlsbad Caverns National Park:

We settled into our new community, gardened very successfully in the desert, and created a comfortable and inspiring home. We've honed our culinary skills to include more authentic Mexican food and, most recently, Indian and Asian dishes!

Of course we enjoyed the incredible beauty throughout New Mexico (and some in adjacent Texas). New Mexico is nature's version of a Disney Theme Park and we hit it hard checking out mountains, canyons, salt flats, lava flows; alpine meadow and forest, prairie, desert, wetlands; streams, springs, seeps. The list goes on and on:

Creative ventures have been on-going and rewarding as well:

Saving the best for last - our little boy, Handsome, has joined his brothers and sisters in that great meadow in the sky - where catnip grows wild and tuna grows on trees (actually this was in 2008 but we miss him like it was yesterday!):

Hope 2009 was an adventure for everyone and that you are ready for the unfolding of a great new year and decade!

  1. What a great adventurous year for the two of you! Wishing you a new year filled with peace and joy:) And a move closer to me, ha ha.

Oh, little handsome boy. He is definitely missed, but in a much better place.
