Holiday Artisan's Sale at Teasel Hill

Hey there everyone. If you are looking for a fun outing this Saturday where you can support local artisans - check out the 6th annual Holiday Artisans' Sale at Teasel Hill from 10-3 p.m.!

There will be free coffee, hot cider and cookies, plus some wonderful handmade items for gifts, including felt bead necklaces and earrings, functional and beautiful stoneware, handspun yarn, homegrown rovings , handmade soap, wood carvings and more. Hope to see you there!

I might have to try to get over there. It is quite a drive but maybe we could make a day of it.

Common Milkweed

Why The Common Milkweed? Well many reasons: 1 - It's important! Milkweed is the only larval food for the Monarch Butterfly and food for many other invertebrates. 2 - It's common, yet possesses singular beauty and therefore represents all the beauty in and around us (right under our noses and on "this side of the fence") and the potential for that common beauty to be recognized, expressed and celebrated. 3 - Its persistence in less than ideal growing conditions proves that the beauty contained in the common endures.
